luvdogs_x2, 2 years ago| FlagThe past two mornings we've had big puddles on the path I take to walk around the park in the mornings because of recent rains. Today I decided what's the harm of getting my feet wet for just a bit! Brought back a momentary memory of being a little kid again splashing in the water. Made my walk even more fun! I never used to think in those terms, normally I'd walk out of the way of the puddle. This is becoming more fun than I expected!

I've always enjoyed the changing seasons, but this spring has been different.I'm seeing things and hearing things and even smelling things like I haven't since I was a kid. I love it. My husband even mentioned how much happier I seem. I'm with you Jo Jo. Take the time to smell the roses!
JoJo44, 2 years ago| FlagI am starting to really enjoy my walks. I use to think that I have to keep moving the whole time, but now I remind myself that it is okay to literally stop and smell the roses. When I'm walking my dog, he reminds me to stop and see what wonders I might be missing. When he stops to sniff, I look, and I mean really look at things on the ground that I never noticed before. It's like being a kid again - experiencing wonder and awe in all the things I had stopped noticing. So my walk has become about the journey, not the destinatio n.
